SV	Die de zonde doet, is uit den duivel; want de duivel zondigt van den beginne. Hiertoe is de Zoon van God geopenbaard, opdat Hij de werken des duivels verbreken zou.

ASV	he that doeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
BE	The sinner is a child of the Evil One; for the Evil One has been a sinner from the first. And the Son of God was seen on earth so that he might put an end to the works of the Evil One.

Darby	He that practises sin is of the devil; for from [the] beginning the devil sins. To this end the Son of God has been manifested, that he might undo the works of the devil.
ELB05	Wer die Sünde tut, ist aus dem Teufel, denn der Teufel sündigt von Anfang. Hierzu ist der Sohn Gottes geoffenbart worden, auf daß er die Werke des Teufels vernichte.

Sch	Dazu ist der Sohn Gottes erschienen, daß er die Werke des Teufels zerstöre.
Web	He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Weym	He who is habitually guilty of sin is a child of the Devil, because the Devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for the purpose of undoing the work of the Devil.
